Well written, but somehow incorrect in mean of random bulges. From photos in the text is clearly seen too big angle and too wide lens (= to much discarded data, chromatic aberation). Using some lens like 80mm- 200mm , and angle rather small makes the results superb.

I saw the perspective effect on his 2nd image too, he used a short focal lens like a 24 mm full frame witch is not optimal.
That's true he could have had better results with longer focals but that's only explained in the advanced tutorial (nr 6)I think that reflects what the normal users do too and it's ok.
But anyway that's a good article.
